Guitar Chord Calculator

This is a guitar chord calculator program written in Visual Basic. It can be very useful for someone learning to play the guitar.

You can select any of 12 chords in any of the 12 keys of the musical scale and then the program will show you where to put your fingers on the frets to play that chord in many positions up and down the fretboard. It will also show alternate fingerings for many of those positions. The program supports over 720 different chord variations.

In addition to showing you the fingering for the chords, the program can also play the sound of the chords, either by picking the srings one at a time through all 6 strings or by strumming all 6 strings simultaneously.

You can also move the cursor around on the fretboard, and clicking on any string on any fret causes the sound of that particular note to be played. You can use this to help you tune your guitar as well.
